How to play Traffic Rush
Traffic Rush puts you in the traffic controller's chair at a busy four-way crossroads. Cars stream in from the North, East, South and West, each one wanting to go straight on, turn left or turn right. You control the traffic light for every approach, flipping each between red and green. Cars obey the lights: on red they stop at the line and queue up, on green they roll through. Every car that exits the screen safely earns you one point. Let two cars meet inside the junction and they crash — three crashes and your shift is over. Guide 50 cars through to clear rush hour and win. Survive longer and cars arrive faster and drive quicker.
Controls
- Mouse / Touch: tap a light pod on the map, or tap the four light buttons underneath, to flip that approach between red and green.
- Keyboard: press 1 for North, 2 for East, 3 for South and 4 for West. Press Enter or Space on the overlays to start a new shift.
Tips & strategy
- Never leave crossing approaches green together. Opposites (North with South, East with West) can share a green safely; crossing pairs cannot.
- Left-turning cars sweep across oncoming lanes, so they are the troublemakers. Green-light a direction only when the lane it crosses is red.
- At higher levels cars arrive quicker than you can think. Settle into a rhythm: North–South together, then East–West together, and stick to it.
Scoring
Each car that leaves the screen safely scores 1 point. Reach 50 points to win the shift. Three crashes end the run immediately. Your best shift score is saved in this browser and shown next to your current score.
