How to play Territory Paint
Territory Paint is a Qix-style capture game. You control the white painter dot, which starts on your painted border around the edge of the board. Glide along the border as much as you like — that's safe. The moment you step into the dark unclaimed area, you leave a bright trail behind you. Loop around and touch your painted border again to close the trail, and everything you fenced off gets painted and scored. Two red prowlers bounce around the unclaimed zone the whole time: if one touches you while you're off the border, or touches your unfinished trail, you lose a life. Claim 75% of the board to clear the level.
Controls
- Steer: arrow keys or WASD.
- Touch: swipe in the direction you want to go, or tap the on-screen direction pad.
- P: pause or resume.
- You can't reverse direction instantly — plan your loops ahead.
Scoring
- Every claimed cell scores 5 points, shown live in the claimed-% bar.
- Clearing a level banks a 1,000-point bonus plus 250 per remaining life.
- Each level the prowlers get faster and your painter moves quicker too.
- Your best score is saved in this browser.
Pro tip
Big greedy loops are tempting but deadly — the longer your trail, the more time prowlers have to cut it. Nibble off small corners first to build a safe base, then fence off larger areas once the prowlers are boxed into a shrinking corner of the board. And never draw a trail straight toward a prowler: always check where both of them are bouncing before you commit.
