About Submarine Rescue
A research dive went wrong: six divers are stranded on the seabed, and the current has dragged an old minefield right across the rescue lane. You are the pilot of the only mini-sub in range, and the clock is ticking. Submarine Rescue is a slow-burn navigation game โ there is no timer forcing you, only your own nerve. The mines drift on the current, the divers wave their torches in the dark water, and your sonar is the difference between a clean rescue and a hull full of holes. Every approach is a little puzzle: which diver is reachable, which mine is drifting toward your path, and when is the right moment to ping?
How to play
Steer your mini-sub with the arrow keys or WASD, or drag on the game screen and the sub will follow your finger. Swim directly over a stranded diver to scoop them aboard โ each rescue is worth 100 points plus a speed bonus for finishing quickly. The seabed is seeded with drifting naval mines: touching one costs a hull point, and 3 hits ends the mission. Mines drift slowly on the current and new ones tumble in as you rescue divers, so the field gets meaner the closer you get to done. Your sonar ping (Space, or the Sonar Ping button) sends out a shockwave that lights up every mine in red for a couple of seconds โ it has a short cooldown, so save it for when the water ahead looks crowded.
Controls
- Keyboard: arrow keys or WASD to steer in any direction; Space fires a sonar ping.
- Touch / mouse: press and drag anywhere on the game screen โ the sub steers toward your pointer.
- The sub keeps its last heading when you let go, so plan your line through the minefield like a slalom, not a sprint.
Tips & strategy
- Rescue the loneliest divers first โ the ones far from mines โ then ping the sonar before pushing into the crowded pockets.
- Approach divers from below: mines drift sideways, so a vertical line is usually the cleanest.
- After a mine hit you get a few seconds of flashing protection โ use them to escape the pocket, not to grab one more diver.
- Slow is smooth and smooth is fast: full-throttle dashes are how subs meet mines.
Scoring
Each diver is worth 100 points, plus a speed bonus of up to 600 points for finishing fast (5 points per second under the 2-minute par). Rescue all six to complete the mission. Your best score is saved on your device โ then go beat it with a cleaner line.
