🎳 Strike Alley
How to play
Strike Alley is a full game of 10-pin bowling squeezed into your browser. Each game runs for four frames, and every frame gives you two throws at a fresh rack of ten pins. Your total pins across all eight throws is your final score, and if that total reaches twenty-two or more, you take the win. Fewer than twenty-two means the house wins this round. Every throw begins at the aim stage: the dashed guide line rising from your ball shows exactly where it will travel. On a keyboard, tap the left and right arrow keys to swing that guide up to thirty degrees either side of straight; on a phone or tablet, press and hold anywhere on the lane and drag sideways to steer the line the same way. When the angle looks right, charge your power. Keyboard players hold the spacebar and watch the power meter climb from zero to one hundred; touch players simply keep holding while dragging. Release to let the ball fly, and physics does the rest — speed, angle and the lively pin rack decide how many of the ten fall.
Controls
- Aim with ← and → on a keyboard, or by dragging sideways while holding the lane on touch.
- Hold Space (keyboard) or keep your finger down (touch) to charge the power meter, then release to throw.
- The second throw of each frame uses the pins still standing — spare conversions matter.
- Pressing the Start button begins the game; Play Again on the result screen resets everything instantly.
Tips & strategy
- A straight, full-power shot down the middle of the lane is the most reliable way to scatter the head pin into its neighbours.
- Slight angles carve through the triangle diagonally and can leave fewer awkward splits behind than a dead-centre hit.
- Very low power throws die before they reach the pins and score nothing, so always charge past at least half the meter.
- Watch how the pins fly: a flying pin that clips a standing one still counts, so chaos is your friend.
- On the second throw, aim for the densest cluster of standing pins rather than hunting single corner pins.
Scoring
Each pin knocked down is worth exactly one point, added to your running total the moment the throw settles. A full game can reach forty points across the four frames, but anything at or above twenty-two wins outright. There are no strike or spare bonuses to juggle — pure pin count decides it — so the honest path to victory is knocking down about six pins per frame, a pace any decent aim can hold.
