⭐ Star Catcher
How to play
Star Catcher is a 60-second reflex dash: golden stars rain from the top of the night sky and your basket waits at the bottom. Slide the basket left and right to catch them. Every star you catch scores points, but watch out for the red bombs mixed into the shower — catching one costs a life, and you only have 3. Let a star fall past you and your streak resets, but bombs you let fall harmlessly into the dark are no problem at all. When the timer hits zero, your run ends and your score is locked in.
Controls
- Mouse: move the mouse and the basket follows your cursor — fast and precise.
- Touch: drag your finger across the game area to slide the basket on phones and tablets.
- Keyboard: hold the ← and → arrow keys to glide left and right on desktop.
Tips & strategy
- Your streak is the real score engine: every 5 catches in a row without missing a star pays a +25 bonus. Protect the streak more jealously than any single star.
- Bombs get faster and more frequent as the clock runs down. Late in the run, it is smarter to dodge toward empty sky than to chase a risky star near a bomb.
- Park your basket slightly off-center rather than dead middle — most item clusters spawn away from your current spot, so sitting in the middle means constant long sprints.
- Missing a star only resets your streak; catching a bomb costs a life. When a star and bomb fall together, let them both go.
- The last 10 seconds rain items fastest. Take a breath, watch the whole sky instead of locking onto one star, and glide smoothly — jerky direction changes lose catches.
Scoring
Each caught star is worth 10 points, and every 5th consecutive catch without a miss adds a +25 streak bonus — a perfect streak can stack those bonuses several times per run. There is no extra points for bombs dodged, but every life you keep is one more chance at a record score. The game ends when the 60-second timer expires or you lose all 3 lives; either way, hit Start to beat your best.
