How to play Rope Rescue
Rope Rescue is a physics puzzle in the spirit of cut-the-rope. A supply crate hangs from one or more ropes above the water, and a rescue boat waits below. Tap or click a rope to cut it — the crate will swing and fall under real gravity. Grab the floating stars on the way down and land the crate inside the boat to clear the level. Later levels add swinging starts, multiple ropes that must be cut in the right order, and boats that drift with the current.
Controls
- Mouse / Touch: tap or click directly on a rope to snip it. Ropes highlight when your pointer is close — one clean tap cuts.
- Keyboard: press R to restart the level, 1–8 to jump to a level.
Tips & strategy
- Cut order matters: with two ropes, snipping one sets the crate swinging — cut the second rope as it passes the bottom of the swing to drop straight down.
- On swinging levels, don't cut at random — wait for the swing to carry the crate over the boat (or the star), then snip.
- Stars are optional but they pad your total — a star sitting off the direct drop line usually needs a swing to reach.
- Moving boats punish early cuts. Watch one full back-and-forth pass before you commit.
- If the crate keeps splashing, restart and cut a fraction earlier — gravity doesn't negotiate.
Scoring
Each star you collect adds 100 points to your run total, and clearing a level banks a 200-point rescue bonus. Your best total and highest unlocked level are saved in this browser — levels unlock as you clear them.
