How to play
Pong Duel is the original arcade showdown: your paddle guards the left edge, the computer's guards the right. Bounce the ball past the CPU to score; if it slips past you, the point is theirs. The first to 7 points takes the match. Every rally the ball gets a little faster, so long exchanges turn into lightning volleys.
Controls
- Mouse: move the mouse over the court — your paddle follows your cursor vertically.
- Touch: drag your finger up and down on the court to slide your paddle.
- Keyboard: hold ↑/↓ arrow keys (or W / S) to move up and down.
- Press Enter or Space to start / restart.
Tips & strategy
- Where the ball strikes your paddle decides its angle: hitting with the edge of the paddle sends it on a steep diagonal that is hard for the CPU to reach.
- The computer watches the ball and corrects its position, but it has a reaction limit — sharp cross-court angles are your best weapon.
- Don't chase the ball vertically in big sweeping motions; small adjustments keep you centered and ready for the return.
- Rallies speed the ball up. When it gets frantic, prioritize staying in front of the ball over trying to place it.
Scoring
Each rally is worth exactly 1 point — send the ball past the CPU's right edge to score for yourself, or concede a point if it passes your left edge. There are no bonus points and no extra lives: the match ends the moment someone reaches 7. Tie-breaks don't exist here — every point counts equally, so a 6–6 deadlock is pure pressure.
