🥞 Pancake Flip
How to play
Pancake Flip is a timing game set on a sizzling griddle. Each pancake starts raw on side one, and the doneness meter on the right climbs the longer it sits. Flip too early and you serve a pale, doughy side; wait too long and it chars black. Flip both sides inside the green golden zone for a perfect pancake, then it goes on the stack. Let the meter hit the top without flipping and the pancake burns to a crisp — you lose a life. Stack all 6 pancakes to win, and you have 3 lives.
Controls
- Mouse: click anywhere on the griddle to flip the pancake.
- Touch: tap the griddle to flip on phones and tablets.
- Keyboard: press Space (or Enter) to flip. No aiming needed — timing is everything.
Tips & strategy
- The green zone is the same width every round, but the meter climbs faster with each pancake — later pancakes demand quicker reactions. Watch the speed, not just the color.
- Side two always cooks a little faster than side one because the griddle is hotter. Flip side two slightly earlier than your instinct says.
- A perfect pancake needs both sides golden. One raw or burnt side breaks your perfect streak, so never rush a flip just because side one was good.
- If the smoke starts curling up, you are in the danger zone — flip now, even if the side is dark. A dark side (30 points) beats a burnt side (5 points) every time.
- Two perfect pancakes in a row unlock a +25 bonus per perfect stack — protect the streak in the late, fast rounds.
Scoring
Each side of a pancake is scored by doneness: golden-brown earns 50, a pale or dark side earns 15–30, and a burnt side earns just 5 — so a perfect pancake is worth 100. Stack two perfect pancakes back to back and every further perfect pancake adds a +25 streak bonus. The game ends when you serve 6 pancakes (win!) or lose all 3 lives to burnt crisps.
