🧲 Magnet Maze
How to play
Magnet Maze is a physics puzzler with a twist: you never touch the iron ball directly. Your cursor is a powerful magnet, and the ball obeys it from a distance. In ATTRACT mode the ball is pulled toward wherever your cursor sits, so drag it along like an invisible leash — perfect for coaxing the ball through narrow corridors. Tap the polarity button (or press Space) to flip to REPEL mode, where the magnet shoves the ball away from your cursor, ideal for nudging it around tight corners or braking before a spike bed. Eight hand-built mazes stand between you and the glowing core at the heart of the lab. Red spikes reset the ball to the level start, so plan your polarity switches: long straight corridors love ATTRACT, while spike clusters are safest crossed with short REPEL pushes from a safe distance. Finish every maze to earn up to three stars per level — fast, clean runs with few polarity switches score best.
Controls
- Move your mouse (or drag your finger on the maze) to position the magnet cursor.
- Click the big polarity button, or press Space, to switch between ATTRACT and REPEL.
- On a keyboard, the arrow keys move the magnet cursor and Space flips polarity.
- The magnet's pull fades with distance — keep the cursor reasonably close to the ball.
Tips & strategy
- ATTRACT drags the ball behind your cursor; slow down before corners so momentum doesn't slam it into a wall or spike.
- Use REPEL to push the ball ahead of you through spike fields — you stay safely behind while the ball does the dangerous work.
- Switch polarity sparingly: star ratings reward few switches, so plan each level's route before you start moving.
- If the ball gets stuck against a wall, flip polarity and pull it back out rather than fighting the magnet.
- Spikes only hurt on contact — the ball can roll right past a spike bed if your line is clean.
Scoring
Each of the 8 levels awards up to three stars: three stars for a fast run under the par time with few polarity switches and no spike hits, two for a decent run, one for simply reaching the core. Your total out of 24 stars, total time and total spike hits are shown at the end of the run.
