🪁 Kite Fight
How to play
Kite Fight is a love letter to Basant, the spring kite festival. Your kite flies on the left of the sky while rival kites drift in from the right, each trailing its string down to the rooftops. In kite fighting, the weapon is the string itself: dive your kite fast across a rival's string and it slices through — one cut for you. But the rivals fight back. Their pilots steer toward your string, and if a rival kite touches it, your string is nicked and you lose one of three string lives. Cut five rival kites to win the sky; lose all three string lives and your kite tumbles. A two-minute timer keeps the duel honest — if it runs out, whoever is ahead on cuts takes the round.
Controls
- Hold Space, the ↓ arrow key, or the big HOLD TO DIVE button to dive your kite downward at speed.
- Release to climb back up — climbing is slower but safer.
- A cut only counts while you are diving fast across the rival's string, so time your dives, don't hold them forever.
- Works with mouse, touch and keyboard alike.
Tips & strategy
- Watch the rival's string angle, not just the kite — the string is the target.
- Dive in short, deliberate bursts. Long dives leave your own string hanging in the danger zone.
- Climb high after every cut: rivals converge on your string while you celebrate.
- Rivals telegraph their attack by turning toward your string — when one lines up, climb out of its path.
Scoring
One clean diving cut equals one kite. Five cuts win the duel outright. Your string survives three nicks; the fourth ends the flight. If the 120-second timer expires, the pilot with more cuts wins. Your best cut count is saved on your device.
