🔴 Connect Four

The classic drop-and-connect duel. You are red and move first; the CPU plays yellow. Click or tap a column to drop your disc — line up four in a row horizontally, vertically or diagonally to win. The CPU blocks your threats and sets traps of its own!

How to play

Connect Four is the classic race to four in a row. You play the red discs and always move first; the CPU plays yellow. Click or tap any column (or pick one with ← → and press Space) to drop your disc — it falls to the lowest free slot. Link four of your discs horizontally, vertically or diagonally to win the round. If the board fills with no winner, the round is a draw.

Controls

Mouse / touch: click or tap a column to drop your disc into it.
Keyboard: ← / → move the column arrow, Space or Enter drops the disc. New Game restarts the match.

Tips & strategy

Take the centre column early — it opens the most four-in-a-row possibilities.
Watch the CPU's yellow threats: it will always block an open three, so build two threats at once to force a win.
Diagonal chains are the hardest for the eye to track — use them for surprise wins.

Scoring

Each round won scores +1 for you or the CPU; draws score nothing. Your session score is the number of rounds you have won.
