🚢 Battleship
Press Start Battle, then click an enemy water square to fire.
How to play
Battleship is the classic naval guessing duel: two hidden fleets on 7×7 grids, and the first admiral to sink all four enemy ships wins. Your fleet is shown on the right in blue — a 3-cell cruiser, two 2-cell destroyers and a 1-cell patrol boat. The enemy fleet hides in the dark waters on the left with the same composition. Click any enemy square to fire: a red hit means you found steel, a dot means open water. Sink every cell of a ship and it is marked as destroyed. After each of your shots the enemy fires back at your fleet — and it is not guessing blindly: score a hit on you and it will hunt the neighboring squares.
Controls
- Mouse / touch: tap any dark-blue square in enemy waters to fire. That is the only control you need.
- Keyboard: not required — this is a pure pointer game, fully playable on mobile.
- Press Start Battle to begin; Play Again redeploys both fleets for a rematch.
Tips & strategy
- Open with a checkerboard pattern: fire on every other square. No ship is longer than 3 cells, so this guarantees you will touch every ship fast without wasting shots on adjacent water.
- The moment you score a hit, hammer the four neighboring squares. A 2-cell ship is found in at most 3 more shots; a 3-cell ship reveals its direction after the second hit — then just walk the line.
- Count the fleet. Four ships, eight cells total: cruiser (3), two destroyers (2 each), patrol boat (1). If you have sunk the cruiser and both destroyers, the last ship is a single cell — sweep the untouched corners.
- Play fast but not careless. The enemy only shoots after you do, so every wasted shot of yours is a free shot for the AI. Fewer than 25 turns is a sharp victory.
Scoring
There are no points — the scoreboard is the turn counter. Win by sinking all four enemy ships before the AI sinks your four. A win under 20 turns means your search pattern was ruthless; anything under 30 is solid admiralship.
