Press Play — the belt is full of ore!
How to play
Asteroid Miner puts you on a 60-second mining shift in the asteroid belt. Rocky asteroids drift across your screen — click (or tap) one to crack it open. Small rocks break in one hit, medium ones need two, and the big ones take three, but bigger rocks hide richer ore: 5, 10, or 15 points. Watch out for the glowing red volatile asteroids: one click detonates them and costs you 15 points. Let a volatile drift off-screen untouched, though, and you earn a 5-point dodge bonus.
Controls
- Mouse / touch: click or tap an asteroid to strike it. That is the whole game — speed and target choice are the skill.
- Keyboard: Enter or Space starts a new shift from the menu or game-over screen.
Tips & strategy
- Big rocks pay the best ore-per-click, so prioritize the slow giants when several targets overlap.
- Learn the crack pattern: a rock with a crack line needs exactly one more hit — finish it before starting a fresh one.
- Volatile rocks are worth +5 if ignored, so only click near them when you are sure of your aim — misclicks are expensive.
- Fresh asteroids spawn constantly, so do not chase rocks to the screen edge; work the middle of the belt.
- Multi-hit rocks keep their damage, so you can soften a big rock, mine a small one, then come back and finish it.
Scoring
Mined ore pays 5 points for small rocks, 10 for medium, and 15 for large. Detonating a volatile costs 15 points, while letting one escape safely earns 5. Your best shift score is saved in this browser.
